*Stay Close

bc stay closeAlthough I’m still grieving over Myron Bolitar’s split from longtime friend and business partner Win (Windsor Horne Lockwood III) – you have to read “Live Wire,” I was eager to read his latest novel “Stay Close.”  Coben has been a favorite of our book club since “Tell No One.”  We all enjoy the fast pace rides, and with the Bolitar series his reoccurring characters.

Coben takes us to Atlantic City this time and to the un-suburban shadowy undersize of the strip clubs and the wilder side of life.  Coben likes to take the temperate suburban lifestyle and shake it up a bit -naturally what lies under that facade is what books are made of.  Everyone has a little tarnish on their white picket fence.

“Stay Close” will leave you guessing until the end, and that’s what a thriller should do.  Thrillers are not always good discussion prompters for book clubs, but we talked about domestic beliefs and actualities and that’s so subjective and everyone has their own opinion.  So, we had plenty to talk about.
